Measuring little feet

Most kids are wearing shoes that are too small, and they rarely tell you, because growing feet don’t feel the squeeze the way ours do. A quick measure at home helps:

1. Measure at the end of the day, when feet are at their largest.
2. Have your child stand with full weight on a piece of paper and trace around each foot.
3. Measure from the back of the heel to the tip of the longest toe. Use the bigger foot.
4. Add about 1 to 1.5 cm for wiggle and growing room, then compare to the size chart.

Feeling like you’re jumping up two sizes? That’s normal. Feet grow fast, and by the time a shoe feels snug, it’s usually time for more room. For little ones, check every 2 to 3 months.

Custom orders help us plan ahead by showing us what families here actually want, while keeping our inventory and finances balanced. We appreciate every single one, and if you change your mind, you can always return it in store.

We typically restock every week or two during busier seasons, and monthly when it slows down. Orders can take 1-2 weeks to arrive depending on warehouse situation.

We've made an effort to provide detailed descriptions for each item, aiming for accuracy, although we're only human and can slip up occasionally. If you have any concerns or questions about sizing, fit, or function please reach out prior to purchase. We can send you measurements, provide insight, and ensure you're making the right purchase. 

General returns or exchanges must be made within 14 days of receiving your order. You are responsible for paying for your own return shipping costs. 

Please contact Nest + Sprout (shop@nestandsprout.ca) prior to making a return with the following information:

• your order #
• the items you wish to return and/or exchange
• any photos of defects

You are responsible for the shipping costs back to Nest + Sprout. We suggest items are shipped using tracking and/or insurance. If you send the package without tracking, there's a chance we might not get it. Unfortunately, we can't give refunds for items we don't receive.

Items eligible for return must be in the same condition they were received, unused with the original packaging and tags. Intimates and clearance items are FINAL SALE. 

If your order qualified for free shipping and the return of the item changes your original order total so that it is below the minimum price point for free shipping, we will deduct our actual original shipping cost from the sum of the price of the returned item. 

All returns are subject to a 10% restocking fee. This is an administrative fee to cover costs associated with the processing the order. Even if we have not shipped your order, your order has resulted in payment processing fees. This restocking fee may be waived or reduced at the discretion of the shop. 

Refunds may take up to 7 business days to be processed. Credit card processing times can vary, and if you paid using PayPal or Sezzle; additional delays can be incurred to refund the amount.

Please bring back unworn, unused items in original condition as soon as possible.

• After 14 days, returns are eligible for store credit or exchange only.
  
• We reserve the right to decline a return (especially Final Sale, clearance, or out-of-season items).
  
• Gift cards are non-refundable.

Ask for a gift receipt with the order number.
Holiday exchanges will be accepted until January 31, 2026.
