September 3 -- A Quick Consignment Update (It's Not You, It's Us)

Okay, real talk: we've closed up most of our consignment appointments for the next two weeks.

Appointments have been working great but we recieved a few large drop offs of incredible product that will take some time for us to process - espeically as a small team with increased sales traffic and about 50 brand new Reima snowsuits headed our way. It's a busy season for us. 

So to ensure I stay sane, and you get the best service you can get - we hitting pause on our porcessing que for most drop offs. And we kindly ask you to wait until mid September before you swing by. Unless.... there is always an unless.

But We're Not Closing the Door Completely

We're still doing drop-ins, on a limited basis, for a short list of things we always want more of:

• Snowsuits (primarily sizes 12M and up)

• Winter boots — any and all, as long as they're clean

• Shoes — always, always shoes (we will take skates and specialty products, just let us know if you have an recommendations on promotion, pricing and updates)

• Rainsuits and raincoats, especially in the early toddler years — we're specifically short on size 2 right now. We also have a surplus of size 4 Muddy Buddy's but everyone wants 18M

• Halloween costumes - see our swap page

• Preemie or newborn sleepers

If you've got any of these sitting in a bag by the door, bring them in. We'd love to see them. When we get less than 5 items, it's super easy to whip up the addition - we're also fairly versed in pricing for these items and it's an easy task. 

Appointments Are Still Open — Just Later

Full consignment appointments are available again toward the end of the month. If you have a bag of boutique items that you want to drop off, I kindly ask you hold it for at least a week.

New: We're Trying Out Toys (and a Few Books)

Here's a fun one — we've started accepting great, excellent-condition toys that fit our boutique vibe, plus a limited selection of books and similar items. This is a trial run for now, so we're being selective, but if it goes well, it may become a regular part of what we take.

I still need to create the collection - but you should find them amongst regular consignment items

A Small Shift in What We're Saying Yes To

We're also tightening up what we accept in bodysuits and pants. This isn't us being difficult — it's us being honest about our space. We simply don't have room to say yes to everything anymore, and we'd rather curate a rack full of pieces we're genuinely excited about than one that's just full.

I still have over 500 units in overstock. I don't want it, and I can't manage it.

We're choosing to see the growing competition around consignment in Prince George as a reason to get more specific about who we are, not less. Saying no to some things means we can say a bigger, better yes to the things that make Nest & Sprout, well, Nest & Sprout — and build something stronger for the families who consign and shop with us for years to come.

Thanks for bearing with us while we sort through the backlog. We promise it's worth it on the other side.
