In-store Pickup:
Pick up your order in-store anytime during business hours — it's always free. Place multiple orders and we’ll combine them into one bag until you visit. Most pickups are ready within a few hours.

If your order isn’t marked ready but you’re nearby, stop in — we may have just been helping another customer and can grab it for you on the spot.

We usually offer delivery, but we’ve been too busy to guarantee it consistently this season.

If you can’t make it to the shop:

• Ask about after-hours pick-up at my house, or
  
• I can ship most local orders for around $10, don't hesitate to choose ship at checkout instead.

Shipping Rates (Canada Only):
Shipping is tiered based on your order total. Orders over $150 ship free (excludes oversized items).

Standard rates for orders $50–$149.99:

• BC & YT: $12.95

• AB, SK, MB: $12.95

• ON, QC: $14.25

• NB, NS, PEI, NL, NWT, NU: $14.25

Orders under $50:

• BC & YT: $16.25

• AB, SK, MB: $16.95

• ON, QC, East Coast, Territories: $19.95

Western Canada Discounted Shipping:

• $14.95 under $50

• $12.95 under $99.99

• Free shipping on orders over $100

Oversize Items:
Some items may incur additional shipping charges. Oversize fees will apply and are noted on product pages.

Items We Cannot Ship Internationally:
Yoto, Olli Ella, Veer, and select others cannot be shipped outside Canada. If these items are in your cart, checkout will be restricted.

Packaging & Couriers

Eco-Friendly Shipping:
We reuse boxes to keep costs low and reduce waste. Need gift-ready packaging? Leave a note at checkout or email us.

Courier Service:
Orders ship via Canada Post (or another courier if more efficient). Please allow 4–10 business days for delivery.

• BC deliveries often arrive within a few days.

• Eastern Canada may take up to two weeks.

Expedited Shipping:
Choose expedited shipping at checkout. If the final shipping cost is less than quoted, we’ll refund the difference. For special shipping needs, contact us at shop@nestandsprout.ca.

Condition Definitions

New with tags Never worn, tags still attached. We love these — and price them accordingly, but remember if you got for $2 at Joe Fresh, that's about the same I can do. 

New without tags Maybe you took the tags off, your kid tried it on once, hated it, and now you've got a brand-new garment looking for a home. We get it. These are welcome and we try our best to disclose and identify these to our consignors. 

Like new / excellent used condition Worn a handful of times at most. No visible wear, no staining, no pilling. Impeccable.

Good used condition Gently used with minor signs of wear — still plenty of life left. Very light marks that are barely noticeable are acceptable here.

Play condition Good structural condition with visible marks or minor staining from real childhood use. We accept play condition items from boutique brands only, assessed individually and priced accordingly. Box-store brands in play condition are considered donations or added to Fill-a-Bag events.

Not accepted Stained items of any brand beyond play condition, heavily pilled items, misshapen, overstretched or shrunk garments, and anything with strong odour. These are donations — no payment.

Preparing Your Items

Please bring all clothing ready for resale:

• Freshly laundered and spot-free
• Free of animal hair and odour
• Laid flat neatly with buttons, snaps, and zippers fastened
• Paired and grouped where relevant (shoes together, outfit combos together)

Items that arrive needing heavy cleaning may be accepted as donations or processed at a reduced commission of 10–20%. Helping us skip that step means more money in your pocket.

A Note on Value Brands & Condition

We do accept value brands — but before you pack them, ask yourself: would I buy this preloved? Value brands are typically priced at around 20% of original retail. Condition matters more at this tier, not less. Increasingly, value brands are starting to pill and stain more than ever. We've unfortatnely been turning away this category becuase of the meagre condition.

This is the framework we use when evaluating standard box-store brands at check-in. Boutique brands are priced individually. Effective December 2025

Our Right to Decline

We reserve the right to decline any item that does not meet our quality and brand standards. Declined items will be returned to you at drop-off or available for pickup within 5–7 business days.

After that window, items are considered donations and we will repair, launder, or pass along to the next best home.
