The tiniest shoes — US size 1, EU 16, sized for 0–3 months. First footwear is often sold by age in months at this stage, before transitioning to numbered sizes. These are soft, small, and mostly decorative — little feet at this age don't need structured shoes, but a soft bootie or slipper keeps them warm and cozy.

Great condition baby shoes at this size come through consignment regularly and are a sweet find when they do. We also get new, unused pairs from time to time.

A note on secondhand shoes: some families have concerns about shoes holding the shape of another child's foot. At this size it's the least of your worries — soft soles at 0–3 months haven't had time to mould to anything. Play condition shoes are available in store for the cabin, lake, and emergency use.
