Reima Kids’ Winter Boots Are Here: Our 2026 Lineup
Our fitting room is currently more boot box than fitting room, and we regret nothing. However, if you are wanting to try on nursing bras or maternity clothes, it is a tight shared space at the moment.

This fall's Reima boot order has landed at Nest & Sprout, and it covers everything from newborn booties right up to Junior 7–7.5 (EU 40) (thats right if you have a big kid who wears a womens 9 or a men's 7, we got you. No need to jump into the adults collection, and all PST exempt).
Why Reima for a Prince George winter
Reima is a Finnish brand, and Finland knows a thing or two about long, cold winters with kids in them. Their boots are designed for how kids actually move, not just for standing still at the bus stop. Across the lineup you'll find:
- Wider toe boxes, so toes can spread out and stay warm
- Lightweight builds that don't turn every step into leg day
- Easy on, easy off designs with toggles, pull-on shafts and velcro, so little hands can do it themselves (mostly)
- Waterproof construction for our classic northern combo of slush in October and deep cold in January
- Extended sizing up to a Junior 7–7.5 (EU 40), which means big kids and smaller-footed teens aren't stuck shopping in the adult aisle
This year we also brought in a barefoot style, which is new for us. More on that below.
New this year: the Ensilumi barefoot winter boot
The Ensilumi is Reima's minimalist barefoot winter boot, and it's the one we've been most excited to unbox. It has a flexible, low-profile build that lets feet move naturally while kids run, climb and play, which is exactly what they're doing for most of recess.
- Rated to -20°C
- Fleece lined
- Waterproof membrane
- Toggle lacing for quick on and off
- Sizes 6 to Youth 7.5, starting at $139.95
If your family already loves barefoot shoes in the warmer months, this is how you keep that going through winter without cold, wet feet.

Tall boots for deep cold
These are the boots for sledding hills, outdoor rinks and those mornings when the car thermometer makes you question your life choices.
Laplander (back for a second year)
The Laplander is our warmest boot, rated to -40°C with 200g wadding. My daughter wore this one last year and it's amazing. She was already stoked to be getting the size up this year but I told her we were trying a few other styles
- Waterproof to the ankle
- Vibram Arctic Grip sole for icy sidewalks and parking lots
- Wide last with extra room for the toes
- Sizes 11 to Youth 7 starting at $179.95

Quicker (back for a second year)
I just think this is a good-looking boot with all the right specs for cold snow days. It's not a rainboot, and it isn't great for deep puddles because of the tongue and elastic at the base of the shoe - but it is phenomenal for those of you dealing with a lot of dry deep cold. And snow - it can do snow. There's a big difference between a pile of snow and a puddle.
- Rated to -20°C with 200g wadding
- Wool mix and fleece lining
- Waterproof construction with a seam-sealed insert
- Velcro strap over the laces for a snug fit
- Sizes 11 to Youth 6.5, starting at $129.95

Kinoskin
The Kinoskin is a quilted pull-on boot for kids who want to get out the door fast.
- Rated to -20°C
- Easy pull-on design with fleece lining
- Waterproof membrane
- Sizes 7 to Youth 6, starting at $134.95
And yes, we brought in pink
We know they love pink, so we added some brighter colours to the collection, including plum and magenta options. These are limited sizes and quantities, so if you spot your kid's size, don't wait on it.

Anturion (back for a second year)
The Anturion is one of the best outdoor slippers for babies and early walkers who need a bootie, not a boot. It's the one for stroller walks, carrier hikes and first wobbly steps in the snow. If you've been recommended the Stonz winter bootie, these are better - just saying.
- Waterproof, with a waterproof insert
- Warm wool mix pile lining
- Toggle so it actually stays on (a small miracle)
- Anti-slip material on the sole
- Sizes 0–12M, 6–18M and 1–2Y, starting at $49.95

Nefar (back for a second year)
The Nefar is a lightweight everyday boot with a classic waterproof galosh fit and a snowlock drawstring to keep snow out of the top.
- Easy pull-on design with fleece lining
- Rated to -10°C, but don't let the temperature rating scare you. It's a lab number, and this boot handles a lot of everyday winter.
- Sizes 4.5/5 to Youth 3.5, starting at $79.95
- available in Fuchsia (limited), Navy, and Moomin

Pyrytys
I honestly don't remember why I ordered this bootie, but I did, and I'm glad. The Pyrytys is a cozy velcro boot that toddlers can wrangle on their own.
- Rated to -20°C with Thinsulate insulation
- Waterproof bootie construction
- Zero-heel design in smaller sizes (up to EU 24)
- Sizes 4.5 to Youth 3.5, starting at $129.95

Short boots for running around
Not every winter day needs a knee-high boot. Short boots are easy to run around in, which makes them a good fit for:
- Recess, for your too-cool-for-snow big kids
- Errands with your littles
- Pairing with snow pants, which slide right over the top
Myrsky
The Myrsky is a sporty short boot with a toggle lace and a grippy gum sole.
- Rated to -10°C with 200g wadding
- Waterproof bootie construction
- Flexible rubber outsole for good grip
- Sizes 11 to Youth 7.5, starting at $139.95

Why it looks like a lot of boots
To cover every size in a single style, you need 12 to 16 pairs. Multiply that across a lineup and suddenly your fitting room is a boot warehouse. We are investing in bringing Northern BC one of the best collections of childrnes footwear including diversity and breadth in sizing. Right now, we definitely don't have enough but we keep trying each year and we'll be able to bring back the customer service you deserve when shoping for children's shoes.
We did our best to order extra in popular sizes, but our data tells us that's impossible to predict. If you see your kid's size on the shelf, that's your sign.
Come try them on in College Heights
The best way to find the right boot is to try a few. Bring your kids (and their winter socks) and compare Reima side by side with our other winter footwear from Wheat Kids, Cougar and Jan & Jul. And yes, the fitting room is available, as long as you don't mind sharing it with boots.
We're also scouting for our 2027 order sheets right now. Tell us what your family loved, what you wished we carried, and which sizes disappeared too fast. It genuinely shapes what we bring in next year.
