Changes are coming to our Consignment Program
Hey friends
By now you probably know I've taken on too much — and that's why consignment is still on hold while I catch up on the plethora of clothing our community (and neighbouring communities) have brought in.
I had hoped to reopen consignment intake today. I didn't. And honestly, that's okay — because what I really want is to reopen with new guidelines, not just an empty inbox. This is the third (maybe fourth) closure in six months because of "too much stuff," and it's the push I needed to get clear on who we are and what we want to be.
A sneak peek of what's coming?
Fewer onesies, please. We have so many. Nobody needs this many onesies.
Also: no hand-knits, no underwear. That's been around for a while. We also want less meh stuff - but more on that.
What we're genuinely excited to see: sleepers, lightweight jackets, boutique brands, clean footwear, and maternity (I have feelings about maternity — but we'll save that for another day).
And something I'm really excited to share — we're working on a program for those HTF boutique pieces you're a little embarrassed to tell me about. The gorgeous item that got away from you. I want to wash it, repair it, and bring it back to life. Today I had time to fix a ripped seam, and it gave me that feeling — this is why I wanted to do this.
That's also why consignment isn't open again yet. I need the space to slow down, clarify, and reduce the load so I can actually do this well.
