Infant Car Seat Covers

A car seat cover isn't a must-have — but for a lot of families, it earns its place quickly. Privacy from well-meaning strangers, shade on sunny days, warmth on cold ones, and a cozy spot for on-the-go naps. Whether you need it depends on your lifestyle, how you move through the world with your baby, and whether those things matter to you day to day.

We bring in car seat covers occasionally — it's a low-activity category for us, but we stock what we find worth carrying. For cold Canadian winters, we love the Petit Coulou for temperature control and genuine warmth on winter walks.

A note on safety: A car seat cover should only ever go over the car seat — never between the baby and the seat, and never looped through the harness straps. Anything that interferes with harness fit or chest clip placement is not car seat safe. Our collection focuses on shower cap-style covers designed to be used safely out and about.

One more thing worth knowing: avoid covering a car seat on a hot day. Even a lightweight cover can trap heat and cause overheating. On warm days, use the built-in sunshade on your infant seat instead and let air circulate.
