Exploring Fort St. John with Kids: Fun-Filled Activities for the Whole Family!
A few years ago, I took the kids an ultimate road trip of North East, BC. We explored small towns and met up with friends. Unfortunately, my visit to Fort St. John was on a cold rainy day in August. While rain can make for memorable moments, we all know that cold feet can put a damper on the fun.
Without further ado, here are some kid-friendly activities you can enjoy in Fort St. John, BC - and of course, if you have a recommendation leave a comment! We'd love to hear from you. So many of our customers in Prince George, visit us from Fort St. John, and we do ship maternity, baby and children's across Canada

Fish Creek Community Forest Trail: Experience the beauty of nature on this accessible trail that welcomes strollers, wheelchairs, and anyone looking for a relaxing walk. Take in the meandering path, breathe in the refreshing forest scent, and listen to the delightful melodies of the birds.
The best thing about a run bike is how easy it is to travel with them. They don't take up much room, and make walking for toddlers so easy. My son had fun going down all the hills while we followed with the stroller. -
Kin Park: Whether your kids want to conquer the dirt hill bike park or play on the playground, Kin Park is a fantastic community space. You can relax in the shade of the trees, sipping your coffee while your little ones have a blast. And since our visit, there appears to have been some fantastic upgrades. I have fantastic photos of my son on the bike park, and playing on a playground.

Whole Wheat & Honey: This sweet café shop comes highly recommended by Instagram mamas, and it certainly lives up to the hype. Treat yourself to an amazing muffin, enjoy the perfect ambiance, and watch your kids delight in their tasty treats.

North Peace Leisure Centre: For mamas with small kids, this community pool is a gem, and perfect for young families. You'll feel comfortable and at ease, even when juggling two toddlers solo. Visiting public pools when traveling, is an underrated enjoyment. We did the same on our trip to Quebec and was a blast discovering new ways people design pools
My kids are sporting some swimwear brands that no longer exist - but have no fear, we carry Jan & Jul swimwear, and swim diapers from Lil Helper. With Canada wide shipping, and low costs in BC - we can get you what you need when you need it. -
Spray Park & Playground: If the weather is on your side, don't miss the new (opened in 2018) spray park located next to the pool. Complete with ample shade, seating, and a real playground, this spray park will keep the whole family entertained. Make sure to try out the water jumping pods—they're a ton of fun!
-
McDonald's Play Space: Indulge in some affordable coffee and fries while your kids have a blast at Canada's largest McDonald's Play Space. Embrace the small-town community vibe and don't worry about the cooties. Alternatively, you can check out the Burger King Play Space across the highway.

Pomeroy Centre: If restaurant play spaces aren't your thing, the Pomeroy Centre offers various indoor programming options. Whether it's walking tracks or tumble and play programs, you'll find ample space to burn off some energy and let the kids have a great time.
-
Charlie Lake: Spend a delightful day at nearby Charlie Lake, where you can enjoy a scenic walk along the path, relax on the dock, and let the kids explore the playground. It's the perfect spot for quality family time in a serene setting.
