Clothing will go to the parents at the New Beginning Pregnancy Outreach Program.
The New Beginnings Pregnancy Outreach Program “is a holistic, strengths based, woman centred care that supports moms, babes and families.”
This unique program provides access to food vouchers, prenatal vitamins, clothing, and many other support avenues both prenatal and postnatal (up to 6 months). The space is located at the South Fort George Family Resource Centre and can assist new families in accessing many different types of resources.
Every parent deserves to have a comfortable pregnancy, and as our body grows a small human (or two), we need new clothes. Unfortunately, gently used maternity & breastfeeding clothing is not donated as frequently as other items.
Nest & Sprout Maternity is hosting a clothing drive to encourage you to separate out your maternity or breastfeeding clothes and bring them by the CN Centre Parking Lot on May 1st, 2021. We know it’s sometimes easier to just drop off a big bag at the thrift store, or maybe you only have one item in your closet that you keep saying you will drop off at the Resource Centre but you haven’t. This Saturday, include us on your daily errands and drop off any good condition maternity pants, shirts, dresses and other items.
No men’s or children’s clothing.
We have a pile of clothes from our past pregnancies to donate and want to ensure we open the opportunity to anyone else with lingering clothes in need of a new family.
Did you hear about the Mother’s Day Gift Boxes?
In conjunction with the clothing drive, we are also putting together Gift Boxes for the Outreach Program.
These boxes will be a Mother’s Day gift from the community. We gratefully accept gift cardsnew/unopened bath and beauty products and new/packaged house wares.
