January 2026 Fill A Bag Event
You've called and asked - and I've been busy preparing for yet another Fill-A-Bag Event to help us downsize the too much that I accept.
January Fill A Bag : Tuesday, January 27 — one day only
Our space is small - so this is a one day only event as we will push many things to the side, or tuck away for the day. See the bins from our previous event in November.

The Rules
🖤 Only the black bins are part of the Fill-A-Bag event.
Everything else in the shop will remain regularly priced and on sale as marked.
💛 Cost: FREE — or bring a cash donation for the Salvation Army that we will double and dedicate to the food bank.
You’re welcome to fill a bag for free, or bring a cash donation to help support the Salvation Army Food Bank. If you forget your donation we just ask that you pay it forward. We also know that some of the stuff in the bins sucks; you might not be able to use it or maybe you can. Which is why it's heavy on the free.
To be fully honest, much of what’s in these bins is play-condition clothing — the kind of stuff I’m slightly embarrassed I ever accepted. It’s not boutique, not perfect, but still useful for messy play, daycare, backups, or simple wardrobe building.
Inventory will be heaviest in 0–6 months (as it always is), but all sizes will be included.

♻️ Why we do these events — and why we hope to do fewer of them
While we truly love hosting Fill-A-Bag events, our goal is to have fewer and fewer of them going forward as I continue tightening what we’re able to accept on consignment.
One of the best ways to pass along play-condition clothing is peer-to-peer — through friends, family, or local buy-nothing groups. I know it’s often easier to rely on facilities like ours, but the labour associated with sorting, laundering, storing, and pricing play-condition items can quickly become overwhelming. This is what we also recommend when trying to move other things like cribs and medical devices. Seek out a peer to peer sharing.
If I’m being honest, my biggest weakness is that I often pay for things I shouldn’t, and these events are part of correcting that so we can keep consignment sustainable long-term and less of everything everywhere.
💛 Giving back
While I don’t want to accept payment for this Fill-A-Bag event, I will be doubling all donations made to the Salvation Army Food Bank this month as a way to give back and support local families. We prefer cash only as to avoid transaction fees. I'd rather you pay it forward if you forget then take a electronic fee.
Our hope is that we won’t need to run another Fill-A-Bag until July; and that will be an offering of our summer collection and lingering products.
🔁 Inventory rotates often
Our stash turns over far more regularly than it used to, and it’s hard to keep everyone updated online; so we always encourage you to visit regularly. Each Fill-A-Bag looks a little different.
👕 Want to donate clothing for this event?
Why not — we’d love that.
If you have items you’d like to contribute:
-
Drop them off the Monday before the event - January 26th from 10am to 2pm
-
Label the bag “Fill-A-Bag Event”
-
We’ll broadly sort items into the black bins by size - so if you want to sort by size before dropping it off that would be great.
Thank you for supporting local reuse, for understanding the realities of consignment, and for helping us keep clothing circulating in our community.
