Give the Gift of Mother's Day

A strong community of moms is near and dear to my heart. I make it through the daily trials and tribulations of motherhood because I have a group of beautiful and amazing women beside me. There isn’t one moment of my day where I feel lost or forgotten.Sadly, there are moms in our community who are struggling, fleeing and in need.

For Mother’s Day, Nest & Sprout Maternity, along with my customers and other local businesses, will be building Mother’s Day Gift Boxes full of classic goodies for new moms that will be donated to the Baby’s New Beginnings Pregnancy Outreach Program. This program is a space hosted by the Elizabeth Fry Society and is a holistic, strengths based, woman centred care for moms and families. It provides education, vouchers, support groups, and referrals for expecting and new moms at the South Fort George Resource Centre. 

This mother’s day we want the moms in our community to feel embraced, supported, and loved.

 Can you help us build a mother’s day gift box for a mom in the community?

The goal is to build 25 gift boxes stuffed full of coffee cards, gift certificates for local restaurants, vouchers of pedicures, bath items and special treats for moms in this program.

When considering the donation of a gift card, please recognize that the mother receiving these boxes may not have the funds to pay for the rest of the service and provide a full value gift card that ensures they don't need to find extra money to do the thing. No two gift boxes will be identical, and we’re not looking for 25 of any particular item.

May 10, 2021 Update

Thank you to everyone who helped me put together 25 incredible gift baskets for new mom’s in Prince George. There was an out pour of support from families and businesses across Prince George.

 25 baskets were donated each with a $25 Gift Card to Yolks, $10 gift card for Tim Hortons, Sugar Cookies, Rocky Mountain Chocolates, Bath/Beauty from Just Add Water & Blissful Bubbles. Individual donations were divided up.

We were also able to donate 20 large bags of clothing to Baby’s New Beginnings along with 3 carriers and 4 winter jackets from the clothing drive on May 1, 2021. Thank you.
